Is camwhores going to block my account just because I used that downloader site?

How are they supposed to know that account X on cwdownloader belongs to you, the owner of account Y on camwhores?

If your Camwhores account was banned within the last week, the reason is that your account information was linked to a bot account that was constantly downloading. After the guy who created the Cwdownloader site hacked the accounts, he didn’t change your login credentials. Instead, he linked those credentials to his own bot accounts. So while you think you’re using your account normally, it’s actually being used to run constant download operations in the background.

The reason Camwhores has been going offline so frequently over the past few days could be that they’re trying to figure out where this unusual traffic is coming from and which accounts are responsible for it. Since the idiot who created Cwdownloader didn’t put any kind of limit or quota in place, it was only a matter of time before the Camwhores admins noticed the excessive traffic.

I mean, if you set up a system that downloads 24/7 for two weeks straight, of course you’re eventually going to get noticed. So even if that idiot hadn’t made his site paid, it was pretty obvious that this wasn’t going to last very long anyway.

A few weeks ago, they randomly made an exception and temporarily removed the rule. That was the first time in months that we actually started seeing some decent videos again. But by then, nobody trusted the CW admins anymore, so people weren't willing to upload their paid videos like they used to.

Another problem is that the admins can ban people whenever they feel like it and then make their private videos public.

The private video system was the main reason CW became so big and popular in the first place. They chose to destroy one of the things that made the site successful just to squeeze more money out of it.

How can they sell tokens so cheaply? Almost a tenth of the price.

Well they can't, either it's a scam, You pay them with crypto, you get nothing and no way to get your money back and it's not like you will report them for it.
Or they are hacking CB accounts and either transferring any and all tokens an account has to another account or and I would assume they are skimming tokens out of hacked accounts in the hopes that they don't get detected and transferring them.
But either way, if CB detect that tokens are being taken from a hacked account and then sent to another, they will  track this and just close down the account(s), then you have purchased an account that could become banned at anytime.

Or they hack an account, make a large purchase of tokens on the owners saved purchase preference, move them tokens to elsewhere, maybe over many grey / disposable accounts and by the time the owner of the hacked account realises what's happened, the tokens are in a New account and already sold to you, but if CB are any good they will trace this but there would be a good amount of time before they get to ban and recover any remaining tokens, but all IPs involved including the person who bought the CB account from them will be logged and if you don't use something like a VPN then you too could get fucked as it is fraud.

If something or someone is selling tokens for a super cheap price that is too good to be true, then ALWAYS assume it's some kind of scam where you will get fucked over.

I wish. Too many sites are crap these days. Honestly, it started with the pornhub mass-delete, and everything has been going downhill ever since. Motherless is gone. Can't upload (easily) to spankbang. I thought I found a good site (camslib) with a good long history of camgirls you can't find easily anymore, but their uploads are broken right now
I like just going through the 6000+ pages of archived public videos of webcam models many have never heard of today. There are quite a lot of hidden gems. I also noticed that they sometimes don't realizethey've recorded the same girl on different sites/names but at different times. So you can kind of piece back together longer videos of say Libbyshepard/Idajonesy/gwenhersey or ssweetbun/susanspence/marypitts (I'm a connoisseur of fine boobage) haha

I think they were too busy trying to hide their company. A fake answering service in the UK, a shell company registered in the Maldives, internet registration through a privacy-based internet registration company in Iceland. They were pretty thorough.
Right now, I can't even see my "friends'" videos, and I can't edit my videos either... lol I started replacing the video thumbnail with a black DELETED image 3 years ago, or with a black image of the HTML5 error hahahahahaha

I think CW is dying. I don't think it will be around longer than 6 months... maybe a year. (Perhaps 1 October will shake things up -- some countries are changing their Visa-free travel which may affect the owners)

when I was doing some experiments, I saw what they were using which was pretty straightforward. It's not about unlocking videos by exploit, as has been explained before

I don't think they can block cwdownloader because cw is full of junk code. They can only implement rate limiting & block some accounts
